Scheduled Classes

We are committed to offering classes that are practical, pertinent, and scientifically based. Most classes are designed to combine classroom time with field time so that you can have a hands-on learning experience

Thanks to federal funding from NOAA's National Estuarine Reserves Division, we are able to offer you high value classes at extremely affordable prices.

These classes fill quickly, so you'll want to register right away. After you register, please print out the invoice and submit with your check (we are unable to process credit cards). If the classes are full, please add your name to the waiting list, as space often becomes available.

        From I-5

        Take Interstate 5 north from Seattle or south from Bellingham to exit 230, just north of Mount Vernon

        Take Highway 20 west toward Anacortes about 6 miles

        (Pass the first brown sign you see that points to Padilla Bay Reserve)

        Turn RIGHT at the stop light onto Bay View-Edison Road (the sign above the highway points to La Conner to the left and Bayview State Park to the right.) A Shell Station and the Farm House Inn are located at this intersection on the opposite side of the road.

        Drive north about five miles, past Bay View State Park. The Breazeale Interpretive Center will be on your right, 1/4 mile past the State Park.

        From the parking lot, walk toward the main entrance of the Breazeale center. Look for signs to the training room.

        From Hwy 20 East (from Anacortes)

        Turn LEFT onto Bayview-Edison Road (the sign above the highway points to La Conner to the right and Bayview State Park to the left). A Shell Station and the Farm House Inn are located at this intersection on the opposite side of the road.

Follow the signs at the turnaround to the Center. From Interstate 205, take state Highway 14 to Exit 1 toward the Vancouver National Historic Reserve. Turn left onto Columbia House Boulevard and follow Columbia under the railroad tracks to the Columbia Shores intersection.       • FROM PORTLAND Take I-5 North. Take the 6th Street Exit towards City Center, Exit 1B. Continue on ramp. Continue on C Street. Turn left on E 8th Street. Continue on W 8th Street. Turn right on Franklin. The Public Service Center is just after the courthouse, on the left side. FROM SEATTLE Take I-5 South. Take the Mill Plain Blvd/WA-501 Exit towards City Center/Port of Vancouver, Exit #1C. Continue on ramp. Bear right on E 15th Street. Continue on W 15th Street. Bear right on W Mill Plain Blvd. Turn left on Franklin Street. The Public Service Center is just after the courthouse, on the left side. IMPORTANT PARKING INSTRUCTIONS To park, please go through the parking garage and out the exit at the back of the garage on the first level. Go right and turn up the ramp to the overflow/annex parking area behind the garage. You'll need to purchase a $3.00 parking pass in the Treasurer's office on the 2nd floor of the Center and post it in your car.
