How to Determine the Ordinary High Water Mark

How to Determine the Ordinary High Water Mark

This practical two-day class will show you how to look for field indicators when determining the Ordinary High Water Mark of state shorelines. It is geared toward shoreline planners, consultants, and state regulatory staff. You will learn how to identify hydrologic, vegetative, and geologic indicators, along with other techniques for implementing the Shoreline Management Act. The first day will focus on classroom information, and the second day will consist of a field trip to freshwater and saltwater sites. Outdoor clothing is required (rubber boots highly recommended!).  (13 CM Credits)

Lunch is provided.
